Type Locality and Naming
Along the Aksakata River, left tributary of the Chirchik River, Prishashkent region. N.N. Kostenko in 1964 as the Aksakatinian suite (244, pp.164-184). Renamed by F.P. Korsakov in 1965 as the Aksakatayan suite (240, p.88). Upper formation in Murzrabad Gr

Lithology and Thickness
In the stratotype opposite the village of Karamazar, at the confluence of the Belderesay into the Aksakata River, it is composed of gray, coarse-gravel, boulder conglomerates. Thickness is approximately 60m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Along the gradual transition, it lies on the Beldersay Fm of F.P. Korsakov (166) or the Gidzhal Fm of L.D. Anpleeva (Koloyarov et al., 1977).
Upper contact
It is overlain by a layer (7m) of dirty-white, coarse-bedded, debris-rich marls and carbonate clays, which V.V. Shcheglova (511)
Regional extent
Pritashkent District. According to B.I. Pinhasov, the suite is capped by the brown-colored molasse formation of the Upper Tian Shan series (Upper TianShan Gr) (late Pliocene-Early Pleistocene); it corresponds to the Early Pleistocene.
It is correlated with the Kandyr Fm and Kepeli Fm.

V.V. Shcheglova indicated presence of rhinoceros remains and indeterminate bones of small animals (upper layer of the Belderesay locality).
